This piece in particular displays a striking vivid aqua blue color.
Hemimorphite is a hydrous zinc silicate that produces fan-shaped tabular crystals and can take on botryoidal forms.
Other times it’s seen as a” coating” on another rock.
When this happens, it can be very bubbly and cover a majority of the rock.
The color of Hemimorphite most commonly seen is a beautiful blue, to light blue color.
This mineral was first recorded back in 1853 by a man named A. Kenngott and was named after the crystal morphology of symmetry.
Hemimorphite is believed to have been around since the 18th century and was actually referred to as “Electric Calamine”.
It is so relaxing and tranquilizing to gaze into.
A depth of ancient beauty to behold, unlike any other variety of crystal.
The cluster is striking it is loaded with perfect points in every direction rising out of the matrix.
What makes this crystal cluster so special is the size, the vast number of points with a great flow of the main points in every direction surrounded by crystal points cascading down at its base.
It also has the original feldspar matrix woven deep in the base of the crystal.
