The Baltic Amber is the old style, deep and rich in color very dense and so perfectly detailed.

Russia is the source of over 90% of Baltic Amber, one reason it is so in demand!

There is one village in particular in Russia that is known for its amber deposits, which is the Yantarnaya village.

The only amber factory in the world is located in the Kalingrad Region of Russian.

Amber is very easy to polish which helps make stunning pieces.

What exactly is Amber?

Amber is a wholly organic material derived from the resin of living trees.

More specifically, amber is the fossilized resin from ancient forests.

Amber is not produced from tree sap, but rather from tree resin.

This aromatic resin can drip from trees, as well as fill internal fissures, and can trap fragments such as seeds, leaves, feathers and insects.

The resin becomes buried and fossilized through a natural polymerization of the original organic compounds.

About 98% of the world’s amber comes from Baltic Sea area, which is why it’s often referred to as Baltic amber.

There are also many people that believe amber holds magical powers.
