The FOOL is the first character we meet on the journey, or rather, we ARE THE FOOL, when we begin our new adventure.  The Fool is full of optimism, they have unlimited possibilites, nothing has been set in stone, and so there is a feeling that anything can happen!

It can be scary to be the fool, but it is also exhilarating!  The element of surprise awaits us, and we don't know what we don't know!  We all start out the journey as the Fool, and it is not good or bad, it's just a phase of the journey!

As we get further down the path, doors start to close, and our path narrows, so this expansive and adventurous stage of our lives should be enjoyed to the fullest.

We may find ourselves looking back one day and wishing we could be the Fool again, innocent, full of hope, limitless, and determined....but don't worry, we can play this role more than once in our lives.

Whenever we start over, whether it's a new career, a new relationship, a major life change, we again become the youthful and optimistic fool.  

And, if life feels monotonous, it may be an indication that we need to embrace the Fool in our lives, start something new, enjoy the fear and the excitement!

The Fool is #0 in the Tarot, because it's a blank slate, a fresh canvas, truly a new beginning!
