Onward we go with our hero's journey!  Our last character, the CHARIOT, inspired us to move forward with swift action and a commanding energy.

Now that we have evolved on our journey, it is time to develop a new kind of strength.  STRENGTH in this card is represented by a woman, ever so gently taming a lion.  

The Lion represents the beast or the unruly nature of the personality.  However, the woman does not attempt to control the beast with force, because that would not be possible or be advisable.  

Instead, she uses her inner strength.  Patience, Maturity, Wisdom.  It takes alot of discipline and self awareness to be in control of your own inner beast, or the beasts of those closest to you.  

While the chariot uses force and direct action to move forward in life, STRENGTH takes a more gentle approach, using her higher powers of perception, will, and love.  At the end of the day, Love is the greatest power of all, and it will tame the most wild and unruly of Lions in our lives.  

It is a great gift to posess STRENGTH.  And STRENGTH that comes from within is the strongest!  

I hope you've enjoyed meeting STRENGTH, on our hero's journey.  She is an archetype that you can tap into when your forceful ways are ineffective, and when you are ready to take a loving, soft approach to the issues at hand.
