Hello Hero, Welcome back to the journey!  The last card we encountered was THE LOVERS, which introduced us to the joys of partnership.  Just a side note:  The hero's journey is not always a linear path, it won't always happen in this order  presented...and at different times in your life, you will play different roles, even repeating the same character more than once.

On to THE CHARIOT.  THE CHARIOT is symbolized by a powerful male figure, who is boldly moving forward on his path.  THE CHARIOT introduces us to a fearless way of conquering the tasks ahead.  He is all about focusing in one direction, while eliminating distractions, in order to achieve victory.

An interesting nuance of THE CHARIOT, which I think is why he is depicted as male, is that he has power over his emotions.  WIth too much emotional turbulance, the chariot could easily tip over.  

It's important to be able to call on THE CHARIOT card when we need to detach from our emotions, in order to focus on the task at hand, and stay stable, and able to move forward swiftly towards our goal!

And so we've added another powerful figure to our deck of cards, which we can call on whenever we need!  Next, we'll meet a female archetype, THE STRENGTH card!
