As we come back to the surface of conscious awareness, after having been immersed in a world of emotion and subconscious illumination, the Hero is feeling enlightened.

THE SUN card arrives with all the warmth and blessings of the SUN.  The Sun is a card of happiness and optimism, having seen through the illusions of the MOON card, The Fool is renewed and refreshed, like a baby.  

The Fool is ready to finish Her journey, having confidence that the Light of THE SUN, her awareness, shines brightly within her and all around her, even reflecting in her environment.  

THE SUN as an archetype is depicted as an infant, because the Fool has dropped all the baggage she picked up along the journey, and is now light and bright.  

Having come face to face with the false ideas that used to imprison the Fool, she is no longer influenced by unseen forces and feelings, and is now free to ride off into the Sun on her white horse, unhindered.  

All that held the Fool back was an illusion of the mind, and the Fool, no longer afraid of the dark, is now basking in the Light of Truth and Victory.  

THE SUN is a very positive and powerful card of The Spirit within being able to conquer the obstacles in the material world.  It's a card of total renewal and rebirth, The Fool is able to relish in how far she has come, and she can see that her journey is coming to an end.  

With just two Major Arcana cards left, the Fool is nearing the finish of her hero's journey, and is anticipating the culmination of her adventure.
