The Knight of Cups is the second Court Card Character we encounter in the suit of cups tarot adventure.  The Knight of Cups is the quintessential Knight in Shining Armor, like in the fairy tales.  

This Knight is sensitive and caring, good at expressing his feelings, and is romantic.  When the Knight of Cups appears, this is a time for new love, and to be swept off of your feet.  

The Knight represents someone whose energy is young and carefree, and he follows his heart wherever it leads.  This is what makes him so charming, he is natural and charismatic, but he may not be full of depth or maturity.  

It is his lighthearted nature, and his enthusiam that makes us love him however.  The 4 Knight cards of the tarot generally represent younger men, and you will notice the difference of energy when he matures into the King.

The Knight of Cups is bold, and not afriad to make grand gestures.  But, will that initial burst of enthusiasm be enough to maintain a longterm relationship such as a marriage?  That all depends on the Knight.  

If it's a romantic adventure that you desire, then seeing the Knight of Cups card is your indication that love is in the air!  Get excited and have fun, but don't mistake the Knight for a King.  He may not be able to follow through and be dependable in the long term.  

The Knight of Cups is a playful and loving, artistic character.  He is wonderful to embrace when you want to have fun, and not be too serious.  He brings out our spirited side, and plays an essential role in the tarot.
